During the week

Throughout the week, there are several additional opportunities for worship.

Morning Prayer: Monday – Friday at 7am; Saturday at 8am

Every day at Trinity opens with the same words: Lord open our lips, and our mouth shall proclaim your praise. Morning Prayer is offered at Trinity at 7am every day throughout the week (except the first Saturday of the month – see below). At Morning Prayer, we pray through the Psalter every two months and we listen to longer passages of Scripture. But at its root, Morning Prayer is fundamentally an act of praise. By beginning each day with prayer, we give thanks for the gift of each new day, and we ask for God’s blessing. This service usually lasts about twenty five  minutes. On the first Saturday of the month, we usually gather at the Heritage Tavern after the service for breakfast, fellowship, and conversation.

Holy Eucharist: Tuesday at 10am

On Tuesday morning, the Holy Eucharist is offered at 10am in our chapel. This is a simple service. We often commemorate different saints depending on where we are in the calendar of the church, and we explore different aspects of the Scriptures than we often hear on Sunday mornings.

First Wednesday of the Month: Plainsong Compline

This is a candle light, contemplative service full of chant and praise. Compline is the traditional service said at the close of the day, and in it, we look back on the day and commend ourselves to God throughout the night. At Trinity, most of the service is sung to plainsong chant, and everyone is invited to participate in any way they are comfortable – from singing along with the women’s choir leading the service to simply sitting in quiet and reflection.
