Trinity Calls Rev. Michael Tuck as new rector – First Eucharists, Sunday September 16.

September 4, 2012

Message to the congregation of Trinity Church Lenox
From Reggie Cooper, Senior Warden

On behalf of the Church wardens, vestry, and search committee I am very pleased to announce the calling of our new Rector.
Through a very productive and insightful period of discernment and prayer we welcome Father Michael Tuck as our new Rector beginning September 10, 2012.

The Search Committee introduced Father Tuck as follows: “Michael is a priest, father, husband and son of an episcopal priest. He is 35 years old. He graduated with honors from Brown University and then seminary at College of the Resurrection at the University of Leeds, England. He is married to Annemarie “Annie” and they have two children, Holland age 6 and Porter, age 2.”

Father Tuck’s work as both the Episcopal ministry at Brown University, where he is campus minister, as well as at St. Stephen’s Church in Providence, Rhode Island, where he has been curate since 2009 has been formative in his preparation to lead Trinity Church.

Father Tuck will preside over his first service on September 16. The Vestry very much thanks the profile and search committees for their incredible work with helping us receive Father Tuck and his family. We are also very grateful to the skillful presence Rev. Dr. Randy Wilburn who has served us with tremendous grace as our interim minister of the past year.
I am very pleased to welcome the Tuck’s into our family and look forward to many years growing together with God.
