Coffee Hour at Trinity
Treasuring Our Coffee Hour
Our Profile process has revealed that people treasure the opportunity to spend time together at coffee hour after the 10:15 service. The welcoming and nurturing feeling of coffee hour is one of the most important experiences people have at Trinity. To keep this program alive we need more people to help prepare and host coffee hour every week.
If you are curious about this but think you don’t want to volunteer for something with which you have no experience, don’t worry! You can be paired with experienced coffee hour hosts who will demystify the location of the napkins, the proportion of coffee to water, and the best way to load the dishwasher.
If you are concerned about taking on a commitment that seems big or complicated, don’t worry! You can volunteer for as much or as little participation as you wish.
If you are concerned about baking specialties, don’t worry! The food can be very simple. It’s the socializing that counts.
If you are concerned about the expense, don’t worry! You can share it.
If you would rather shop than host, you can help assure that we have staples and supplies on hand.
And if you can’t help provide food or supplies, you may want to support the cleaning up.
If you are interested in doing any of these things, please sign up in the Parish House, and speak to Ruth Arisman or Susan Dana, who will be able to answer your questions and encourage you to join others in preserving of one of Trinity’s most cherished activities.
