Morning Prayer
Start your month with the quiet of Morning Prayer followed by the fellowship of breakfast at 8 a.m. on the first Saturday of every month, in the chapel. This traditional form of Episcopal prayer is lead by George Bergen, who also leads daily Morning Prayer at 7 a.m. Although the liturgy may be new to you, George will guide you through the canticles, readings and psalms until they become familiar.
The 8 a.m. First Saturday tradition was started a few years ago when our Rector, Stephen Booth conducted workshops on this Rite II liturgy, enabling more people to join the practice. In typical Trinity fashion, the service is followed by food (these days it’s breakfast at The Heritage on Housatonic St.), where the conversation is unstructured and wide-ranging.
Please get in touch with George Bergen or Dick Burke to learn more about Morning Prayer and how you might incorporate it into your day, at church or at home.
